No person is only a teacher. Every person carries both the teacher and the student within. The teacher and the student are two aspects of every human being that differ only in their function, not in their value. The student asks, the teacher answers.
The single function of the Teacher is to represent the School and the Teaching. He has no further significance.
However, the representation is essential. The Teaching without representation is unknowable and will be forgotten. And the School without representation decays.
The Teacher represent the Teaching in many ways.
Not through a method, but through his being.
The needs and obstacles of the students are different – each brings a unique story. That’s why there can be no fixed curriculum, no universally valid method.
Some students need strictness, others need gentleness.
Some need thoughts to reflect upon. Others need space to express their own.
The Teacher gives every Student what they need.
